- 1 tbsp collagen powder
- juice from half a lemon
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- pinch pink Himalayan salt
- cucumbers to top (optional)
In a jar or shaker, combine all ingredients. Shake to dissolve collagen and maple syrup. Pour over a glass filled with ice. Top with cucumber or fresh mint if desired. Serves 1.
*If you don't have time to cold brew, just make an extra-strength cup of Rose Schisandra Glow tea and add extra ice to cool down.
How to cold brew tea:
Step 1: BLEND
Find your favourite 1 litre jar. Spoon in 1 1/2 tbsp of loose leaf tea. Bonus points for using your hands to break it up into little bits. This helps release some of the yummy essential oils we're after.
Step 2: CHILL
The hard part...cover your container with a lid or towel, and leave in the fridge for 6-24 hours. Overnight should do it. Warning: this part may induce thirst and cravings for refreshing beverages.
Step 3: STRAIN
Use a fine mesh sieve or cheese cloth and strain that baby! Wow what a good looking brew you have there.
Step 4: REAP
Sip, store and enjoy the deliciousness you've long waited for.
Steeped + strained tea will last a week or more in the fridge, just keep it covered.
