BBQ Beef Burger

BBQ BEEF BURGER

There are burgers, and then there’s this burger. Kanel's For the Love of BBQ spice gives this summertime BBQ staple tons of earthy flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • 2 pounds ground beef
    • ½ cup panko, breadcrumbs, or crushed saltine crackers 
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 Tbsp milk
    • 1-½ Tbsp For the Love of BBQ
    • 2 Tsp of salt

PREPARATION

    1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (350-400 degrees F.) If you are cooking on the stove, skip this step. 
    2. In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together by hand (do not overmix - stop once the ingredients look evenly distributed to keep the burgers juicy). 
    3. Divide the mixture into 6 (for large patties) or 12 (for thin patties).
    4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and press the meat firmly into patties (keep in mind they will shrink a bit when you cook them). 
    5. If you are cooking on the stove, heat a skillet to medium-high with a bit of oil. 
    6. For thick patties: Grill or fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, for thin patties: Cook on the griddle for 2 minutes per side.
    7. Serve with your favourite toppings, and an ice-cold beer.
