Beatrix Farrand (1872-1959) was a trailblazing force in twentieth-century landscape architecture. She was the first woman to join the American Society of Landscape Architects, and designed over two hundred stunning gardens and landscapes around the US and Britain. Farrand also brilliantly preserved over nine hundred plants from her Maine garden - the perfect touch for the 12 Notecards and Envelopes included in Herbaria's Pressed Plant Collection.
